DISTINCTIVE QUALITIES: Our Osso Buco will remind you of simpler days, gathered around the table for Sunday family dinner. Each cross-cut, hind leg of veal is cut to perfection—tender enough to melt in your mouth; yet thick enough to satisfy. Osso Buco connoisseurs will appreciate that the delicious and nutritionally beneficial bone marrow is intact within the bone. Each portion is slowly braised in our delicious demi-glace, carrots, cipollini onion, roasted garlic, and just the right amount of bay, rosemary and thyme.
BEHIND THE PRODUCT: Each portion is vacuum-sealed to lock in the amazing flavor. Our veal is GMO and antibiotic-free, and is fed a special proprietary diet. One pouch easily serves two people.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Osso Buco is often paired with steamed or sautéed vegetables, and a risotto or creamy polenta. These pair best, as the demi-glace and savory bone marrow, mingle with the vegetables and are soaked up into the polenta or risotto, enhancing the already rich flavor.
STORAGE:Keep frozen. Thaw in the refrigerator the night prior to heating.
HEATING & SERVING SUGGESTIONS: For best results, thaw overnight in the refrigerator, but you may also heat direct from freezer. To heat thawed product, DO NOT REMOVE FROM BAG! Place in a pot of boiling water, or in a steamer. Boil or steam for approximately 17-20 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165ºF. Remove from bag and serve. To heat frozen product: Follow above instructions, increase boil / steam time to 25-30 minutes. After entreé is hot, open bag & plate portion. Close bag and shake to thicken to sauce. Pour atop veal and serve.
