Shipping refrigerated perishables

All refrigerated and frozen perishables overnight in insulated, reusable coolers with reusable ice packs and/or dry ice. Because caviar should not be subjected to freezing temperatures for an extended time, if your order also contains many frozen perishables, you may receive separate packages that will arrive on the same day. Alternatively, we may choose to place your caviar inside a smaller cooler with ice packs, placed inside a larger cooler with dry ice and your frozen foods.

Our shipping department is trained to pack your order for optimum freshness to your address. Frozen items may slightly thaw. Please freeze or refrigerate perishables promptly upon opening the insulated cooler.

Fresh seafood and meats are subject to availability. Sometimes, a regularly-stocked item does not meet our stringent quality standards and will suddenly become unavailable. Additionally, inventory fluctuates real-time. If an item becomes unavailable or is delayed, you will be immediately contacted by phone and/or email and will be given the option to accept your order at a later date, or to cancel. Perishables are shipped carefully and safely in FreshPac insulated, reusable, temperature-controlled coolers with adequate dry ice or reusable ice packs, and/or packing material as needed for their safe arrival at your destination.

OTHER SHIPPING DETAILS:
Order by 2:00pm PST for FedEx Overnight. You will be sent tracking info by 10pm on the day your order ships. All perishables must ship overnight. No delivery on Sunday or Monday. Shipping costs are flat-rate as follows:

Dependent upon your order, it may need to ship in two boxes. Non-perishables may arrive two days after your perishables. If this is predicted to occur, our website will automatically charge $57 for shipping ($32 for perishables FedEx Overnight + $25 for non-perishables). This is not always necessary, and must be determined by our warehouse as they fulfill. Every order is carefully hand-packed and fulfilled, and our website cannot automatically predict every scenario. If we are able to your perishable and non-perishable order together, you will be refunded $25. 

  • Shipping Restrictions: Due to FedEx limitations, we cannot deliver perishables on Sundays, Mondays, or the day of or after all national holidays including New Year's Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas. Non-perishables cannot be delivered on Sundays or national holidays including those listed above.
  • Bad Weather: Our special FreshPac cold system, combined with the way our warehouse is trained to pack perishables means that your perishables remain cold and safe to eat for up to 3 days in transit. If the delivery of your package experiences delays due to FedEx / weather, you will be notified. In nearly all instances, your perishables will still be safe to eat, even with the delay in its delivery. We guarantee non-spoilage during shipping. Sorry, but we are unable to guarantee, or refund any shipping costs that are due to reasons beyond our control.
  • Special Shipping Rates: Large-volume orders that weigh more than 80lbs. may require additional shipping fees. If there is a question, we will contact you. Please do not hesitate to contact us. At this time, purchases made on our website can only be delivered within the United States.   • Special Delivery Requests: Special delivery requests can usually be accommodated. If your delivery date differs from our policy, please note your required date in the "Special Notes" section of your cart at check-out. 


Shipping Confirmation:

Shipping confirmation and tracking info will be sent by 10pm on the day your order is shipped.

You may choose your exact delivery date by writing a note in your cart.

We cannot deliver perishables on Sundays, Mondays or on the day of, or after national holidays. Non-perishables or pantry items can deliver on Mondays, or the day after national holidays. Orders placed on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays will be processed on the next business day.
FedEx is our exclusive courier.

Shipments are sent “no signature required.” We are not responsible for theft. If you require am delivery, or prefer signature required, please phone 800.353.0430. Same-day orders may be available by private courier. For more info, please call 800.353.0430.

  • Smoked Seafood: All of our smoked seafood is of unparalleled freshness. We receive fresh shipments every Wednesday and we often sell out. Please plan ahead and be aware of special delivery times as noted on the smoked seafood product pages. When ordering smoked seafood products by noon Friday, they will ship overnight on the next Thursday, for next business day Friday delivery. If caviar and other seafood items are ordered together, your caviar will ship at this same time. To request separate shipments, please call 800.353.0430.
  • Pantry and Serving/Giftware: If you did not purchase perishables, your non-perishables and/or serving ware and pantry items ship 2-3 day ground weekday delivery. If you also purchased perishables, everything should ship together overnight. We will contact you if this is not the case. 
  • Gift Messaging: Please indicate your gift message in the "Special Notes" section of your cart at checkout. Your gift will deliver with a lovely custom note atop the insulated cooler.

Cancellations:

Changes or cancellations to orders must be placed only by telephone, and done within 2 hours of placing your order or prior to 2:00 PST on the day of your order.
