DISTINCTIVE QUALITIES: Echire butter is an award-winning French butter—it is most certainly the butter you may have discovered on the tables of the world's best restaurants. The dairy in Echire, France is one of the last knowns to still use teak wood churns to craft their uniquely flavored, lightly salted (demi-sel), silky-textured butter. Beautifully packaged in a wooden basket, it is lovely presented atop a table with any meal.

BEHIND THE PRODUCT: Since 1979, Échiré Beurre de Baratte – or "churned butter" has the elite designation of Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée, or AOC. This designation protects the style, ingredients, and origin of a product from being produced in other regions. The AOC seal most certainly speaks of authenticity.
